Wheels of Caring - A Fun Bike Race to Meet Needs in our Community

About This Activity

This is a fun bike race to help meet needs in our community. Help us stock our local food pantry* and Personal Items Closet** the best way—on a bike! Fun for road cyclists, mountain bikers, BMX bikers, and families on cruisers. Prizes for Top 2 finishers in each distance *Housed at Asbury United Methodist Church, Smyrna **Housed at Ewell’s-St. Paul United Methodist Church, Clayton

Here’s how it works: Make sure you bring: $22 to purchase food & hygiene items * Your helmet * A backpack to hold items * A bike lock When you arrive: Pick up a map/manifest and an envelope to hold your receipts. The manifest will tell you the stops you must make and the items you need to purchase at each stop. Receipts will be verified for completeness! Stops may be made in any order. While a map is provided, a general familiarity with the area or a GPS device will be helpful. If you’d like, you can come early and program the addresses. Two distances to choose from: Family friendly route that stays in the Smyrna/Clayton area with a total mileage of about 10 miles & 4 stops. A longer route for a bit more of a challenge that hits Smyrna, Clayton, & Kenton for approximately 21.5 miles & 7 stops. Where/When does it start? Race starts and finishes at Ewell’s-St. Paul United Methodist Church, 401 West Street, Clayton. Race time: 9:00 a.m. What if I have questions?
