What awaits you outside the Garden is your normal life: work schedules, insurance premiums, average life expectancy, traffic congestion, birthday parties, relatives . . . But you have come to the Dead Garden to escape all of that.
There has been a zombie outbreak in the most peaceful and beautiful of our urban landscapes – the Botanic Garden. You run through the winding pathways with dense plantlife and towering botanic specimens, not knowing what could jump out at you from the shadows or what awaits around the next turn, heart pounding, nothing else matters now except survival! This is what you came for, to feel that most pure and exhilarating of experiences. As long as that suspicious scratch on your arm isn’t a zombie bite, you will survive and return next year to escape the normalcy that is your life outside the Dead Garden.
Whether you survive the zombie horde or lose your life and come back from the dead, there is plenty of fun to be had at the post-apocalypse party for zombies and humans alike. The party will feature a beer garden (local craft brewery), great food, DJ, photo ops, winning team ceremony, and local vendors with awesome things to show off.
The Dead Garden Run is always held at a botanic garden, to support their mission and spread awareness of the great work they do to preserve, educate, and insure that the beauty and diversity of nature can be enjoyed by us and future generations. Just go to the Locations page to see if there is a Dead Garden Run near you.
Remember to register early for best prices.
In addition to supporting the garden itself, the Dead Garden Run also donates a percentage of the proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Additionally we are partnered with the Red Cross to organize and promote an onsite blood drive the day of the event. These are all great causes – what we do is create a unique adventure so you have fun supporting them.Event schedule and times
