Footloose for Health

About This Activity


Footloose for Health is a 5K walk through the woods at Ledge View Nature Center.


The Friends of Ledge View Nature Center are partnering with the Chilton School District and U-Can of Calumet County.

Walk Details

The walk includes the fun trail, 60 foot observation tower, walking into the quarry, and a look in the caves.

After Walk Snacks

After the walk enjoy health snacks and drinks in the nature center.

Cinch Bags

Cinch bags will be given to all who pre-register before April 26, 2013. No cinch bags will be available the day of.

Registration Times

9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Ropes Course

The Chilton High School is opening up their Ropes Course from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Cost is an additional $5 at the school door.

Money Raised Goes Toward

Money raised from the Footloose for Health goes towards hands-on displays, display maintenance, animal upkeep and feeding, workshops, and other items here at Ledge View Nature Center. WE see over 13,000 school-age children a year.



Door Prizes

Enter to win door prizes, winners will be drawn at 2:00 p.m.

Walk Challenge

Challenge your workplace or your childs school to participate in the Footloose for Health 5K Walk. The most walkers on your team win and your name will be added to the plaques in the nature center.
