The No Acting Please Beyond the Method/Experiential Acting System of Eric Morris is taught in colleges, universities and acting schools around the world. Now, it is here at Vagabond School of the Arts and being taught by Adam Christopher Veasman who has studied personally with and been given a unique endorsement by Eric Morris to introduce the Experiential Acting method-based system here in Chicago. This complete system, at times called controversial, is a two part, method-based system that goes “beyond the method” by dealing with the actor’s instrument as well as a very specific approach to the craft, giving the actor the tools to become self-reliant and “experience personal reality” rather than “act.” NOTE: After taking this class you would be eligible for No Acting Please – On Going (4 weeks) for $195 ABOUT THE CLASS This work and approach is journey vs. destination based and the emphasis is on empowering the actor to have the tools they need to become self-reliant. There is a structure to encourage growth and support, the work is personal and challenging, the class environment designed so that an individual can feel safe yet challenged, grow, and be able to work and participate with others regardless of experience. It’s a laboratory type setting with freedom for collaboration for the actor where the “how” of their work is emphasized. Additionally, actor’s can work on material old and new, auditions or anything else they might choose work on during their individual time.
