About This Activity

5K Race Course

Starting at Chinatown Square on Archer Avenue, the race features a fast course with a turn around at 34th Street. Runners will run through the heart of Chinatown and finish back again at Chinatown Square.

Youth Run

Kids ages 6 – 11 will also have the opportunity to participate in an organized run after the 5K race. The kids’ 200 meter (age 6-8) and a quarter mile (age 9-11) race will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. The race will be held along Archer Ave., near Chinatown Square. Parents, family and friends are encouraged to attend to cheer on the runners.

10+1 Special Group Rate

This year, we are offering a new 10+1 special group rate to all runners, running club members, groups of friends, and corporations. You would receive one free entry for every 10 applications of the 5K run or youth run. Applications must be submitted by mail or in person for this offer. Universal Sole 3052 North Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL 60657 July 6, 2013 (Saturday) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Food Court, Richland Center Lower Level, 2002 South Wentworth Ave., Chicago, IL 60616 July 10, 2012 (Wednesday) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 11, 2012 (Thursday) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Race day registrants (cash only) and packet pick-up from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

First Aid

A first aid tent will be set up in Chinatown Square for participants. An ambulance will also be on call for emergencies.

Run to build a better community!

This year, Chinatown 5K & Youth Run is proud to partner with the following not-for-profit organizations: the Chinese American Museum of Chicago, the Chinese American Service League and the Pui Tak Center to help raise funds for their various programs. Runners may choose to help them to either donate or be a fundraiser. All funds raised go directly to these organizations. Please find more information on our website: www.chinatown5k.com.
