What's Included

"All right stop, collaborate, and listen." Although these lyrics were penned by one of rap's worst performers, they are the core of learning to rap! This introductory course is designed to make improvisers comfortable with both the rhythm, rhyme, and lyric creation of rapping. To prepare for the Level 1 performance, students in this class will also be familiarized with rap-adaptations for some common short-form games. Each student in this level will receive a CD of royalty-free beats so they can practice their rapping outside of class. There will be a Student Showcase on September 2nd for class to show off their skillz. This class was developed and is taught by Rene Duquesnoy.
