Run Of The Dead - A Zombie 5K to benefit the YMCA
Start: Sunday, October 27, 2013
Chester , CT 06412
Registration Closing Date
Saturday, October 26, 2013
A race unlike any you’ve ever run before. RUN OF THE DEAD to benefit the Valley-Shore YMCA is a 5K trail race, complete with obstacles and post-apocalyptical scenery to test your ability to survive the zombie invasion. Runners can participate as a human, zombie, or both. Each human has three lives, which are represented by “flags” tucked in to a belt, much like flag football. The goal is to make it through the race with at least one of your flags left. Once all your flags have been taken by zombies, you must return to the start. The race will be broken down into 9 waves throughout the day. At the start of each wave, zombie participants will be released first so they can infiltrate the course and prepare ambushes at key locations. There will be the chance to regain health during the race by completing additional objectives. T-shirts will be given to the first 500 people who register.
It’s up to you how many waves you’d like to be in, but if you run 1 waves as a human, you'll receive and receive half off your Zombie Course Pass! It's an entire day of apocalyptic fun!
Mercenaries (race organizers) will be posted throughout the course to help humans and zombies if there is anything they need.Event schedule and times
