How the Rockin' Marathon Relay Works
Here's how Rockin' Marathon Relay works: teams of 2, 3, or 4 members alternate relay legs until the full marathon distance is completed on a loop course. One team member is out running hard on the course while the rest of the team is having a good time at the relay exchange zone. The exchange zone is one big party - enjoy music, food, and socialize with teammates and competitors alike - but be ready for when you next take the handoff for your team! Solo runner option too!
The course is on the soft gravel trails at McAlpine Creek Park and measures a 1.46 mile loop. Relay teams will complete a full 17 laps and 1 partial lap. The first leg of the relay is just short of a full loop to get the full 26.2 miles. Check the event website for how the legs are split up for an example 4 Person Team.Finisher Medals! One free beer! Live Music and/or DJ! Race T-Shirts. During and post-race food and drinks!
