The West Virginia Golf Association's Golf Academy was created to be an affordable technology based resource for players of all skill levels to improve. The academy is located at Kanawha County’s Coonskin Park in the capital City of Charleston, West Virginia. PGA of America Professional, Brian Knechtly heads up the academy. Brian is the Head Golf Professional at Sugarwood Golf Club in Huntington, West Virginia and serves as the academy’s Director of Instruction. He has been affiliated with the PGA of America since 1994 and has 21 years of teaching and club fitting experience. By using the computerized V1 video lesson software and smartphone apps, the academy can analyze your swing and visually explain where improvements can be made. If you have an Android phone or iPhone, you can download the V1Golf app and send Brian a video of your swing today. Private lessons, camps and events are also available for in person lessons too.
