Introducing the First Annual "Say BOO to Cancer" 5K Run/Walk Presented by McDonald's. This timed race takes place on the popular WakeMed Soccer Park cross country course. Proceeds from this timed 5K will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Fees for Race: $30 until midnight on August 1, $35 until registration closes online October 11. Registration can also be done at the event and is $40. Your fee includes timing, a t-shirt, and a goody bag. The deadline for a guaranteed t-shirt and size is October 1. Some shirts may be available at the event for late registrations but sizes are not guaranteed. Additional shirts are available for purchase for $10 each.
The race starts at 9:00 am, and packet pick up is available from 7:30am to 8:45am at the race site. Given that this is a cross country course, strollers are not advised. There will be one water stop available on the course. The course is mostly packed dirt and has a few rolling hills, and is very popular with local runners!
Runners of all ages are welcome, however runners aged 13 or under must run with a parent who is also registered. Costumes are welcome and encouraged for both participants and spectators!
Now introducing a Virtual 5K! For those of you that cannot attend our actual race, you can choose the Virtual 5K and complete your mileage any time before October 13 at 9:00 AM. The fee for the Virtual 5K is $20, which includes a bib and a couple goodies. A shirt is NOT included at this price, but they can be purchased as an addition during registration for $10 each.
