Proceeds from this event will benefit Downtown Cartersville?s Historic Wellness Walk as part of our Healthy Bartow Initiative, Roselawn?s Save the Carriage House campaign, and the educational and preservation efforts of the Bartow History Museum. Healthy Bartow is dedicated to the community-wide prevention of lifestyle related chronic illness. With the help of the Community Health Network (CHN) and partnerships with various organizations in the community, our goal with Healthy Bartow is to create sustainable projects that are designed to develop a community-wide value of health. This race will specifically launch our Downtown Cartersville?s Historic Wellness Walk, which will provide several walking routes through the historic district. Our goal for this project is to increase opportunities to be active while learning a little history along the way. Roselawn?s annual Arts and Crafts Festival will take place on September 14, 2013 (day of race) beginning at 9:00 a.m. The annual arts festival, held on the grounds at Roselawn, features the works of artists from across the Southeast.
