Carlsbad Triathlon ranks in the World's top 5 longest running triathlons. It is a sprint distance race, consisting of a 1K open-water ocean Swim, 25K Bike and 5K Run. The course begins at Tamarack Surf Beach, and follows the coastline of Carlsbad, past our scenic beaches, lagoons and wildlife preserve. It boasts an ocean swim, a rolling bike course and a smooth run for the finish.
All Triathlon members will receive a $10 discount. Proof of club membership must be shown at packet pick-up

Photo ID required at packet pick-up to verify identification.
All Athletes must pick one of the two methods for packet pick-up. (See Packet Pick-up section)
Packet Pick-up site:
Free In Person Pick-up: Saturday, July 13th, between 10 AM - 3 PM
At the southwest corner, Westfield Plaza Camino Real, 2525 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA
$25 Sunday Packet Pick-up: At the race site.
Packets may NOT be picked up for anyone else. Must show a valid ID.
ONLY THE RACE PARTICIPANT MAY PICK UP THEIR RACE PACKET!!!
THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!!
There is NO bike check.
Carlsbad Triathlon is held at Tamarack Surf Beach.
DIRECTIONS to Race site:
Tamarack Surf Beach is located off Interstate 5 at the Tamarack exit. Head west 7 blocks to Tamarack Surf Beach.
This race is for everybody: from first-timers to the elites, and their friends and family! The race begins with a 1K open-water ocean swim, which is well marked with buoys, followed by a 25K bike course and 5K run that takes you along the coastline. The roads are wide and completely closed to traffic—very safe! The course is mostly flat with a couple of rolling areas. Active Network
