3K & 10K
IMPORTANT: For a 10k Open Water Event registration, you need to have previous experience of a 5k Open Water competition. A signed letter or an email has to be sent by your coach for you to participate. Please register early as we are limiting the field to 300 3k swimmers and 450 10k swimmers.
Swimmers over 15 for 10k. Swimmers from 11 to 14 year old, can participate on the 3k race.
February 1 to February 27 - 85 USD; From February 28 to April 3- 110 USD; From April 4 to May 18 - 125 USD

Check in and Welcome Kit starts on Thursday May 23 from 17:00 to 20:00 hrs and Friday May 24 from 15:00 to 21:00 hrs.Brief will take place in Host Hotel on May 23 at 19:00 and May 24 at 19:00 and 20:30 hrs and through a video that will be shown in one of the main rooms (Later will let you know about Q&A's schedule).Marking and Chip timing transponder will be held on the Host Hotel on May 24 and remarking will take place on May 25 at 05:30. RACES BEGIN AT 08:00
CHILDREN: 11-14; YOUTH: 15-19; MASTER: 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & and over; FINS: 15 and over (this last category will not be awarded, only participation medal).
Every single swimmer will receive a participation pack at Check-In. A medal for the top 3 competitors of all categories (except fins). An award for Overall placement. Overall the participants will receive a participation medal.
There will be a time limit on the 3K and 10 K swim, everyone must complete the race or is subject to disqualification after 4:30 hrs.
As this event is sanctioned by Mexican Swimming Federation (FMN), all participants must have a license from your country to participate. All swimmers must be present for the Pre-Race Briefing at the Host Hotel. At this meeting, race officials will distribute last minute information on weather and water conditions, emergency procedures, etc.
RACE COURSE AND OPERATIONS 1
The main race course will consist of an island to islan crossing (10K) with intermediate buoys, boats and kayaks lining the course.There will be “feeding” stations located in some marked buoys and with the official PLL kayaks located through all the course. No volunteers will be specifically available for this purpose, only trained staff.

Only official crafts are allowed. No additional coaches’ craft will be allowed near the race course. This is a non-escorted swim.This race will utilize electronic “chip” timing, and swimmers will wear one timing chip on one leg.Toe nails and finger nails will be checked before the race by the Head Referee. If the nails are too long, they must be cut to a reasonable length at the discretion of the Head Referee.
