What's Included

ConstructionKids Counselor in Training (CIT) Program The ConstructionKids Counselor-in-Training Program is an opportunity for rising middle school students to learn fundamental job skills in a supportive and fun setting. Students learn the basics of being an employee, mentor, and colleague, including personal presentation, time management, record keeping, and professional skills. The CK CIT program provides a good foundation for future employment with our, or any, company. For former CK campers who love to build and make things, the CIT program serves as a transition from camper to a future paid staff position. The skills include working with younger children, partnering with counselors during instruction, and learning more specific skills for planning and leading activities. It is not required that CIT’s have attended ConstructionKids in the past. To be eligible for the ConstructionKids CIT program: • Must be between 12 and 14 years old (students over 14 can apply as junior counselors) • Be energetic and self motivated • Register on our website for the weeks of camp you want to attend • Attend our 1 day staff training on June 27th Cost of CIT weeks are $200.00 per camper Included in the CIT program: • A weekly NYC MetroCard pass • Free lunch daily • A gift card after successful completion of each week _______________________ Camp Program Description We build small versions of things that roll, float and fly, as well as making go-carts that we learn to drive in our workshop. (Go-carts are for workshop use only and don't go home with kids.)
