With the New Year approaching, NOW is the time to make a plan to reach your personal health and fitness goals! Let our Beginning Running program help you to reach your personal fitness goals with our 10 week training program. If you can run a loop of Prospect Park and are ready to take your running to the next level, then this program is for you. Level II takes up where Level I leaves off (but you needn't have done Level I to participate!) We'll build upon your existing fitness and running skills with a greater emphasis on pace and endurance as we work toward our end goal of running 6 miles continuously. Folks coming into the class should already be able to run 2 miles continuously. We'll select a local road race towards the end of the program which will be our class goal. We'll have a pre-race meeting to go over the logistic of running the event to completely prepare you for what may be your first foot race! In addition you will receive email coaching to guide your training between our regular meeting dates and you'll have 24/7 access to your coach via our on-line discussion forum.
