What's Included

In this class, students will advance their skills by learning to drape their own clothing over a dress form. Students will learn the fundamentals of fashion draping, including understanding grainline, draping on the bias, and using styling tape. The instructor will work with each student to develop a final design project which will then be turned into a sewing pattern.This class will focus on the dress form, and students will make a sample draped blouse or skirt. Textile Arts Center (TAC) is a NYC-based resource facility dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of textiles through creative educational programs for children and adults.
