About This Activity

Brief Description:

The inaugural Panther Pride 5K is building up to be an exciting fundraiser! Bristow Run Elementary School was chosen to be one of three schools in Virginia to be a part of the Global Schools Network. The goal of the program is to utilize 21st Century learning skills to bring a global perspective to our students. Our goal is to provide increased rigor and incorporate learning opportunities that challenge our students thinking. This event will help us support our students global awareness so when they leave our school they are prepared and knowledgeable about global needs. All proceeds will support global literacy and the revitalization of our newly named Global Garden which is being restructured to focus on the different crops and vegetation in various regions of the world. This will be yet another hands-on tool for our students to learn about the diverse world we live in.
