Lake San Antonio 3rd Annual Fishing Derby

One $25,000 bass will be tagged and ready for catching. 24 other fish will be tagged for prizes including free camping, free lodge stays, free boat rentals, Lake San Antonio swag and more! The derby is open to the public with fishing allowed on boat or on shoreline. There are four different $10 big fish options. Big fish options include fishing for the largest largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, striped bass and catfish and pay the anglers with the largest fish.

Only individuals who have paid a registration fee and have a valid Derby ID Badge are eligible to win.2. Participants must posses a valid California fishing license (except those under 16) and follow all CA Department of Fish and Game regulations. Participants must use sport fishing equipment. Use of nets or other commercial fishing devices, or fishing in restricted areas will result in immediate disqualification. Fishing licenses are available for purchase at the South Shore general store. 3. Derby check-in is from 5:30am - 6:30am on October 5 at the South Shore cafe. The derby begins at 7am (or safe light) and ends at 3:30pm of the same day. Contestants may fish Lake San Antonio from shoreline or from boat anytime during the derby. Fishing off the marina is not allowed.4. Each person registered in the derby is eligible to win the ?lucky angler? raffle prize. An angler will be chosen by luck to win a prize! Angler must be present at the award show following the 3:30 weigh-in to win. 5. Fish Weigh-In: All participants must check-in at the weigh-in at 3:30pm on the South Shore. Present your fish along with derby ID badge to the officials at the weigh-in station. There will be no late check-ins. All fish must be alive to qualify. All fish caught for the big fish options must be over 13? long.6. Any registered person who fishes from a boat containing non registered persons 6 and older shall be disqualified.7. Ties between fish of equal weight will be decided by the longest length. 8. $20 entry fee and $60 entry fee includes entrance into the park, a chance to catch 25 tagged fish and complimentary morning coffee or hot chocolate! Biggest fish options are separate from entrance fee. Options can be paid at check-in but are cash only the morning of the derby.9. Grab n? go breakfast breakfast and lunch food will be available for purchase during check-in. The Lakeside Cafe will be open from 12pm - 4:30pm the day of the derby.10.
