Race down Scenic Highway 30A between sugar sand beaches and rare dune lakes from Blue Mountain Beach through the cool beach town of Grayton Beach. Those running the 1/2 will near Watercolor and Seaside Villages before turning and heading back to the "mountain." There is no better time to be on 30A and at the beach than the Fall!
Run Blue Mountain Beach
The 1/2 marathon and 10K will begin on on Scenic Highway 30A at Goatfeather's Restaurant and will end at Florida's only "mountain" on the Gulf Coast...Blue Mountain Beach. Run between sugar sand beaches and rare dune lakes from Blue Mountain Beach through the cool beach town of Grayton Beach. Those running the 1/2 will near Watercolor and Seaside Villages before turning and heading back to the "mountain." There is no better time to be on 30A and at the beach than the Fall!
Off to the Races
The 1/2 marathon will start at 7:00 a.m with the 10K starting 5-10 minutes after. The courses will incorporate the Blue Mountain Beach area and Grayton Beach and will be run on Highway 30A and the recreational path adjacent thereto. The course map will be posted on www.bluemountainhalf.com as we near the race date.
30A 5K & Kid's Run

Blue Mt. Man/Blue Mt. Woman (1/2 & 5K)
Run both, the Saturday 5K & Sunday 1/2 and be deemed a Blue Mt. Man or Blue Mt. Woman. Not only do you have discounted fees for running both, you'll receive a special finisher's award designating you as a Blue Mt. Man or Blue Mt. Woman. Further, the top 3 female and male runners with the fastest combined times from both races will receive awards or prizes!

Sand Dune Man/Sand Dune Woman (5K & 10K)
Run both, the Saturday 5K & Sunday 10K and be deemed a Sand Dune Man or Sand Dune Woman. You receive discounted fees for running both plus you'll receive a special finisher's award designating you as a Sand Dune Man or Sand Dune Woman. Further, the top 3 female and male runners with the fastest combined times from both races will receive awards or prizes!

Race Limits/Race Timing
The combined number of runners for the 1/2 marathon and 10K is 2500. Runners will be chip/electronically timed.
Hoodies for the first 50 registered in 1/2
The first 50 registered in the 1/2 marathon will receive hoodies!!The first 50 will receive an e-mail stating that they are getting a hoodie. Should you get one, please keep a copy of the e-mail. Hoodies will be picked up at packet pick up.
Buy a Hoodie!
Not one of the first 50 to register for the Blue Mountain Beach 1/2 Marathon? One of the first 50 but would like an extra? Doing the 10K but still want a hoodie? You can purchase one for $25.00. Supplies will be limited and will be based on orders placed at the time of registration.
Hoodie Description & Sizing
The hoodies will be mostly cotton pullovers. They will have the race logo on the front with minimal if any logo(s) on the back. They will be uni-sex so PLEASE size accordingly. We order based on the size that you provide.
Finishers Awards (Medals)
All finishers in the 10K and 1/2 marathon will receive some cool finisher's bling!
Awards (trophies, plaques...something along those lines..) will be given to the top 3 overall female and male runners, the top Masters (over 40 years old) male and female, the top Grandmasters (over 50 years old) male and female in the 1/2 & 10K.
Age Group Awards
Awards (medals or trophies or something cool) will be awarded to the top 3 females and males in each age group in the 1/2 & 10K. Age groups begin at 14 and under, 15-19 and are 5 year increments thereafter.
Race Shirts--Description & Sizing
Race shirts will be technical shirts. There will not be different shirts for the 1/2 marathon and 10K. The shirts will be gender specific so PLEASE SIZE ACCORDINGLY! Each person registered before September 15, 2013 will receive a race shirt. We do not guarantee sizes or availability of shirts for those registering after September 15, 2013 so please register early!!!
Packet Pick- Up & Race Day Registration--revised!!
Packet pickup and late registration will be 6:00-6:45 am race morning at Big Daddy's Bikes, Blue Mt Beach.
We are working on securing accommodation packages. Please check our website and back here for further information. Plus, we'll e-mail those registered with accommodation information as soon as we have it!
A portion of the race proceeds will go to support local charities. Thanks for your support!!
If you have family, friends...for that matter, people you just sorta know and sorta, maybe like...with you who would like to volunteer, please have them contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll put them to work! Volunteers will receive a shirt and bountiful thanks!
Post Race Party and Awards Ceremony
We'll be holding a post race party with food, beverages, and more at Blue Mountain Beach following the races. The awards ceremonies will begin as soon as practical/possible following each race. We reserve the right to begin the awards ceremonies before each race is completed. Don't miss the post race festivities!!NOTE: WE WILL NOT MAIL AWARDS UNLESS YOU HAVE MADE PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS FOR SUCH PRIOR TO THE RACE. THERE IS A $15.00 PER AWARD FEE SHOULD YOU REQUEST MAILING!

Refunds & Race Delays
Sorry, there are no refunds. We may allow race number transfer if such is done no later than Oct 4, 2013 and a $15.00 fee will be charged for number transfer. Though the race will take place rain or shine, we reserve the right to delay the race should conditions be unsafe.
