What's Included

This class is an opportunity to get inky with a straight forward approach to printmaking. Learn about direct painting, using rollers and brayers to achieve layers of color, creating your own chine colle for added color, developing ghost images, registering multiple plates for an immediate result. Enjoy being messy and leave this workshop with some inspired prints! Saturday and Sunday Feb 25 & 26 from 10-4:30pm $25 Materials Fee payable to the teacher on the first day of class Instructor bio: Jen Cole worked as a fine arts printer for about ten years after completing her graduate work at SF State. She is currently going into her seventh year, as an artist is residence at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley CA. She recently discovered other art residencies! Last year she attended Vermont Studio Center to work on printmaking. This year she will be going to Playa, in southern Oregon. She finds printmaking to be a perfect media for mixing and blending different techniques together for intriguing and interesting experimental outcomes. JenniferColeDesigns.com
