What's Included

Build on instruction presented in Etching 1 and learn how to translate your photographic image into an etching using a polymer plate. Participants will begin with a digital image, learn to turn it into a halftone film, then polymer plate, and end up with a beautiful print.  Sundays, April 23, 30 & May 7 from 10am-4pm $25 Materials Fee payable to the teacher on the first day of class Instructor bio: Kazuko Watanabe has worked in print media for over twenty years. She has researched and developed three-dimensional prints, print sculpture, the use of intaglio in artist's books and the combination of traditional print media with computer techniques. In 1999, she received the Library Fellows Award from the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. In 2001, her work was selected for the "Print National" exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York. www.kazwat.com
