The fourth annual North County Wine Run is scheduled for Saturday September 28, 2014 and will benefit the Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation.
Over the past decade, Clark County has become Washington's newest emerging wine region, with growth concentrated in the Battle Ground and Ridgefield areas. The North County Wine Run offers runners and walkers the opportunity to experience this beautiful region through half-marathon and 9K loops beginning and ending at Schumacher Farm in Battle Ground, Washington. On paved country roads, the routes highlight the gorgeous scenery of north Clark County: rolling hills, rural landscapes, and views of Mt. St. Helens.Event schedule and times
This fourth annual wine country run is set in the heart of beautiful North Clark County, Washington. The race begins and ends just east of Battle Ground at Schumacher Farm, across from Heisen House Vineyards. Along paved country roads, the route highlights the gorgeous scenery of North Clark County, taking in the breath-taking views of Mt. St. Helens, Battle Ground Lake, and rural landscapes, with water/aid stations every two miles.
The North County Wine Run is chip timed. There is a four hour time limit to complete the course. Strollers are welcome, however we ask that those running with strollers start at the back for safety purposes.
Enjoy food, wine from all participating wineries, jazz music, booths, and entertainment after the run on the grounds of Schumacher Farm are all included in your registartion. Make it a full weekend by participating in the packet pick-up dinner on Friday evening
