What's Included

Do you ever wonder what you can do to give your child a head start in reading and writing for first grade? Come to A First Look at First Grade for a basic introduction to first grade reading and writing skills. Campers will have a fun-filled week getting to know what it’s like to be a first grade reader and writer. Activities include: multi-sensory reading activities, writing workshop experiences, utilizing reading and writing iPad apps especially for first grade, an introduction to Friday premiers, and a look at OTS’ first grad edible education program. Special snacks provided daily. Instructor: Martha Loar, BS, MA, Old Trail School Grade 1 teacher

About This Organizer

Old Trail School’s Summer Camp (S’Camp) is returning for another great summer filled with sun, fun, friends and non-stop activities. The popular summer camp begins on Monday, June 8 and runs through Friday, July 31. This year’s program has more than 150 options for campers aged 18 months to 15 years.

 

The Camp is held on the Old Trail School campus in Bath, Ohio just a short drive south of Brecksville. Half and full-day camps are offered with extended day (early morning and late afternoon) options for workin parents. Transportation is available from Brecksville with a van that departs from Saint Basil Church’s parking lot at 8:20 a.m. and returning at 3:25 p.m. daily.

 

Campers may pack their lunch or may choose to purchase “fresh from scratch” lunches prepared daily using local vegetables and fruits. Lunch menus include: chicken tenders, turkey hot dogs, pizza and peanut-free butter and jelly.
