Youth Basketball Tournaments
2009-2010 Basketball Season
Hotels: Hotel discounts are available through Idaho Prep Basketball. Go to our website for hotel prices. www.idahoprepbasketball.com Teams are REQUIRED to stay at our tournament hotels if you are traveling from out of town. When calling the hotels, mention that you are booking through Idaho Prep Basketball to receive this discount.

Registration: Fill out your application and return it with your payment. Applications and fee must reach our office by Friday, 1 week prior to playing in the tournament. We also have online registration through active.com that is available at any time. The cutoff date through active.com is Monday night at 10:00 p.m. the week of the tournament. Active.com charges a small administration fee of approximately $15.00 per registration that goes directly to their company. If you don't send your application 1 week prior to playing and still want to sign up and we still have room, you must go to our website and use our online registration through active.com. If you change your mind about playing and you have registered through active.com, the administration fee will not be refunded because this is handled entirely through their company.
Awards: Medals, T-shirt or Trophies vary with each tournament.
Refunds: No Refunds will be given unless we are notified 7 days before the start of the tournament.
ONE - DAY TOURNAMENT: Start Times - The tournament will start at 9:30a.m. and the last game could start as late as 9:45 p.m. Games can be spread out over the entire day. Teams that are traveling more than 2 hours away will get a later start time on Saturday. Games will be kept close together if you're from out of town and you are commuting.
SPECIAL TIME REQUESTS -We will try to accommodate time requests, but on 1 day tournaments they are very difficult to accommodate. Example; if one team needs to be done by 4:00 p.m. and another team in the same age division can't play until after 2:00 p.m. we can't accommodate both teams. First request will be accommodated. Request fee is $40.00.
TWO - DAY TOURNAMENT: Start Times - On Friday the 1st game will be at 10:00 a.m. with the last start time at 9:15 p.m. and on Saturday the 1st game will start at 9:00 a.m. and the last game will start at 8:30 p.m. Teams that are traveling more than 2 hours away will get a later start time on Friday. Games will be kept close together if you're from out of town and you are commuting.
TIME CONFLICT REQUESTS FOR 2 DAY TOURNAMENT - If teams need a later start time, or a time that they need to be done we can accommodate. The fee associated with this request is $25.00 and it must be included with your application and payment. Your request must give us at least ½ day, (example; done by 2 or 3 p.m. or need to play after 2 or 3 p.m.) If you request is made after the application is mailed, the fee is $35.00.
Scorekeepers: Idaho Prep Basketball will provide scorekeepers for the book and the clock, but these are players from the school we are using. These players are doing this as a fundraiser, so we recommend that you have your scorebook person sit at the score table to help prevent mistakes. If problems occur, tell the scorekeeper to buzz the referees.

Game Times: Coaches will be e-mailed their schedule on Wednesday the week of the tournament by 4:00 p.m. You can go to our website and access your times, location and opponent at www.idahoprepbasketball.com You can call Wednesday between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. or on Thursday morning 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. if you are not sure of your times and location. Click on (view this weekend's game schedule) and then click on the link that says Idaho Tournament.

Tournament Rules
- 2-16 minute stop time halves. Clock will run the last 4 minutes if there is a 15-point lead.
- 5-minute warm up time.
- 3 minute half time.
- 7th team foul 1 & 1, 10th team foul 2 shots
- 3 timeouts per game. 1 addition per overtime
- All overtimes are 2 minutes
- No pressing or trapping with a 20 point lead.
**Last 4 minutes is running time, if there is a 15 point lead. If lead goes below 15 points, clock stops again (2nd half only)
