Brief Description

The 3rd Annual John Carlos Invitational Youth Track & Field Meet will be held at Palm Springs High School again this year. This meet is open to boys and girls born 1997-2005 in a grade no higher than 8th. Athletes compete in their own gender and age division (year born). Athletes receive a T-Shirt & participation ribbon. 1st-3rd place finishers receive medals and may advance to the I.V.M.A.A. Championships to be held again at Palm Springs High School on Saturday, May 12th.

Check In

Check in will begin at 7:30 a.m. Birth Certificate must be provided (copy)

Eligibility

Boys or Girls in the Coachella Vallley are eligible to participate. You may only participate in one S.C.M.A.F. qualifiying track & field meet. If you have participated in another S.C.M.A.F. qualifing track meet, you will be ineligible to participate.

Spectators

For security purposes, all spectators, parents, and coaches must remain in the stands. Only athletes and meet staff will be allowed in the infield.

Outside Food and Drinks

While you are allowed to bring coolers and ice chests, No glass bottles will be allowed in the stands. Please practice courtesy and deposit all trash in the the proper containers.

Canopies, Tarps, Easy-ups

All shades must be placed in the top row of the stands only.

Additional Information

Athletes are limited to 2 individual events and the 4 x 100 meter relay. Relay teams do not advance. Olympian John Carlos will be on hand to present medals. If you prefer to register offline, stop by the Club, 450 S. Sunrise Way, Palm Springs, or download the form from our website www.bgcps.org.
