iHoops Coach Education Program

iHoops Coach Education Program

At iHoops, one of the goals is to provide the best coaching and officiating possible for the 23 million boys and girls who play the game of basketball.

With the aim to help all coaches become better at what they do, iHoops partnered with the National Federation of State High Schools to create a Coach Education program for the grassroots and high school levels.

Set to launch in the summer of 2011, the iHoops Coach Education program provides experienced coaches and those new to the profession with substantive tools to improve teaching skills, coaching techniques and strategy, and knowledge of the game and its values.

The fun and interactive coursework--tailored for coaches of players ages 19 and under as well as ages 12 and under--offers innovative lessons and valuable continuing education for coaches who want to:

  • Provide young players with fundamentally stronger instruction.
  • Develop mentoring skills.
  • Be more organized.
  • Understand the needs of a variety of age groups.

The iHoops Coach Education program is focused on helping coaches teach the game positively, play the right way competitively and with enjoyment, while making the safety and well-being of young players a priority.
