Brief Description

To register, you need:

  1. At least one player
  2. If you played before, your active.com account to log in & access your existing players and info.
  3. Which of the 3 FLL's you live in (American, Dominion or National).

Early - Late Registration

Late registration fee of $25 applied after January 31st for AA-Juniors, after February 15th for T-Ball & Single A, and after February 28th for Seniors.

Little League Age Determination Date

**Important** What will be the age of your player on April 30th? This is the "League Age" in determining the division your player is eligible.

Refunds

A $10.00 charge will apply to all refunds.

Multiplayer Discounts

If you have siblings joining Fairfax Little League you will get a discount of $25.00 for the 2nd player and $50 discount for each subsequent player. You must register them all at one time to get the discount.

Evaluation, Practice and Game Dates

Evaluations will be held indoors on February 20th at Fairfax High School. All player candidates, ages 9 through 16, not already on a Major, Junior or Senior League team, must try out. Times for tryouts can be found at www.fairfaxll.com.

Practices will begin in March with games starting in late March for Majors and Juniors, and early to mid April for Minors, Seniors and Challenger.

Registration Fees   

Registration fees are made up of four components:

  1. The operating costs for the league labeled Registration.

  2. The cost of the Raffle Tickets are $5 per ticket and all proceeds after prizes go 100% towards Little League operating costs. Families can keep their raffle tickets to be eligible to win prizes, or they may chose to sell their tickets to other families for $5 per ticket prior to the drawing however in so doing give up all rights to winning any prizes with those tickets..  

  3. County & City Fees -- Both Fairfax County and Fairfax City now charge a $5.50 fee for each child involved in all sports using the county or city fields (prior to Spring 2010, only the County charged this fee). This fee is collected by the sports organizations and forwarded to the County and City. Both of these fees, totaling $11.00, have been added to the registration cost.

  4. Active.com Processing Fee charged by the company that hosts the registration site and processes the credit cards.

Registrations prior to February 1st for AA-Juniors and February 16th for T-BALL, Single A and Seniors receive a $25 Early Bird Discount.

Multi-player discount offered if you register all players at one time - $25 off the second child and $50 off for each additional child.

*Registrations prior to February 1st for AA-Juniors and February 16th for T-BALL & Single A, and March 1st for Seniors receive a $25 discount. Registration fees are waived for players receiving free or reduced price school lunches. Spring Little League Divisions  

The Challenger Division includes kids age 5 to 21 years old that have any special needs that preclude them from participating in a mainstream Little League program.

T-BALL -- Kids age 5 and 6 year olds participate in this instructional league where hitting, throwing, and catching a baseball are taught for the first time. Players hit off a batting tee.

A Minors consists primarily of 6 to 8 year olds who hit a pitched ball from a machine or coach.

AA Minors consists primarily of 8 to 9 year olds who hit a pitched ball by another player. Batting and fielding is emphasized at this level.

AAA Minors consists primarily of 9 to 11 year olds who have not yet attained the experience or skill to participate in the Major League.

The Major League consists of skilled and experienced 10 to 12 year olds. Selection on a Major team is made through the draft system.

Junior Division -- Expansion of the Little League® to accommodate young people who are league ages 13 and 14. The game is played on a 90 foot field, the same as high school and college baseball.

Senior Division -- Highly competitive division for 15 and 16 year old young men. The game is played on a 90 foot field, the same as high school and college baseball.

Little League Baseball and Softball Sanctioned Event
