The Tour de Tow takes off on Saturday, September 19th, 2015. The Tour de Tow is an on-road cycling tour along the scenic back roads of southern Polk County. Come enjoy a beautiful day of cycling in beautiful historic Bartow!
Event details and schedule
Registration 7:00am Ride Starts at 8:00am
Please park your vehicle at the Oaks Parking Lot. A GPS address for that is 395 S. Central Avenue.
Please NOTE: We try our very best to make sure that everyone gets a rider t-shirt. Shirts are ordered 7 days before the event. If you register BEFORE the order goes in, you will get a shirt. I always order EXTRA shirts and if I have one after the seven day order cut off you may NOT get a shirt because at that late date it is a guessing game as what extra sizes to get. I try my best to have enough for all riders. ORDER 1 SIZE DOWN FROM YOUR NORMAL SIZE, SHIRTS RUN LARGE.
Helmets are required for all riders!
The staging area is the same as last year, on Central in front of the Main Street Bartow Office. For GPS the address is 180 Central. Central is intersects with Main Street 1 block east of Broadway. The best place to park is going to be at the Oaks Parking lot. Look under parking details for GPS info.
Congrats to last years winner of the Artistic Motion Drawing, Stephanie Tatlian, who is this year's poster person and featured cyclists! I hope she likes the logo!!!
If you rode in the Bloomin Bike Ride or the Tour de Tow and you would like to comment please do so in the write a review section. Thanks, Trish
We will be giving away new bikes again to kids who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford one with our mission of cultivating a love for cycling and a healthy lifestyle. This year is a milestone reaching 106 bikes to kids in need in just 5 years! The POWER PEDALERS are the kids who will have a huge smile on their faces as we present them their new bikes. If you know of any one or company out there who would like to be a sponsor please let me know. The more money we have the more bikes we give away. Now that is COOL!
Ride Support! Yes, every route has a SAG vehicle following to be there in case you need us. It will have drinks, snacks, tubes and a pump. Everyone will receive a ride map that will have a number on it for emergencies or problems.
This cycling tour is suitable for a variety of skill levels. Rest stops will have plenty of fluids and refueling munchies. Ride T-shirts for all registered riders and will try our hardest not to run out. Production times sometimes prevent an accurate count for t-shirts but will make every effort to accommodate. Call or email Lillycat36@aol.com for list of lodging options. See ya on the 19th.
