Kids Discovery Museum is a nonprofit, hands-on interactive, educational and fun children's museum. Located on Bainbridge Island, WA the Museum sees over 30,000 visitors a year and is open seven days a week. Through a combination of teacher-inspired and self-discovery programs and activities, children enjoy all that the Museum has to offer while learning about different elements of science, technology, arts, engineering and math. With a full Our Town exhibit on the first floor and a Science Hall on the second, there is plenty to explore and see. KiDiMu also offers special programs in partnership with other community organizations and has robust summer camps on a variety of topics to continue the learning and fun.
The KiDiMu Summer Camp program follows Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines, and promotes skills necessary for academic success. Through guided discovery, provided by experienced instructors, KiDiMu Explorers engage in meaningful and fun experience-based learning.
With a focus on embracing the whole family and being accessible to all, the Museum also offers Parent Talks, family parties and activities, and a Sensory Program for children and families affected by autism and other sensory processing challenges.
