The Run to Rescue

About This Activity

Join us for a unique 5K trail run/walk at 9 AM on June 1, 2013 to benefit a most worthy cause. We're partnering with an organization called She Is Safe and donating all race proceeds directly to them.

Also, come check out the spaghetti dinner at The Refuge on the night before, May 31, 2013 at 6 PM. Children 5 and under may eat free if accompanied by a paying adult. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit a local organization with a similar cause - Safe in Lenoir County Inc.

Register by May 15, 2013 to guarantee your T-shirt is in your size. Registration will be available on site at the dinner and starting at 8:00 AM on race day. Registration will be $35 on race day.

If you need a place to stay, why not sleep on the trail? There are housing accommodations and tent sites available for a small fee. Contact Terry at The Refuge 252.746.4766. Visit www.thesonsetrefuge.org for more information about The Refuge.

Don't just train for the race. Turn your training into fundraising. Visit www.SheIsSafe.org/engage/run-to-rescue for more info, and don't forget to mention that you're participating in the Run to Rescue.

She Is Safe (SIS) rescues and restores women and girls from abuse and slavery in high risk places around the world, equipping them to build lives of freedom and faith for a stronger future. To learn more go to www.SheIsSafe.org
