Online registration closes at the end of the night on Thurs, 9/12 (11:59pm PDT). After online registration closes, you can register in-person at our Pre-Party at Abel's on Fri, 9/13 from 6pm to 8pm (5K/10K = $55) OR on event day at Texas Rowing Center from 7am to 8:45am (5K/10K = $65). Cash (exact change appreciated!), check payable to SUP ATX or credit card accepted.
Paddle for Humanity returns to Austin on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The event features a 5K Fun Paddle, 10K Paddle and the new "Rule 7" Race.
5K Fun Paddle (Estimated time: 30-45 minutes)
Compete against friends or simply paddle for the pleasure of it. This is a fun race, close to shore and a great chance to experience racing in a low-pressure environment. Every racer receives a finisher medal. The 5K results will be applied to World Paddle Association (WPA) rankings for short course. This is a timed event.
10K Paddle (Estimated time: 60-90 minutes)
Compete against friends or simply paddle for the pleasure of it. This race is for the more seasoned paddler wishing to test their skill, endurance and strategy. The 10K results will be applied to World Paddle Association (WPA) rankings for long course. This is a timed event.
Rule 7 Race (Estimated time: 45-60 minutes)
We provide the equipment, you bring the stoke! This is a paddler run and regulated event where the winner takes all. However, we toss in enough equalizers and speed bumps that it can be anyones day. Rule 7 = No Whining!
Pre-registration online is $50/one event or $80/two events. Add $15 for event day beach sign-up.
World Paddleboard Association (WPA) Sanctioned Races
The 5K and 10k are sanctioned by the WPA. The following age divisions will receive points for rankings to qualify for both Regional and World Championships in either the 5K Fun Paddle or 10K Paddled. WPA divisions for these races include:
a) 17 under for qualifying board classes and gender
b) 18-29 for qualifying board classes and gender
c) 30-39 for qualifying board classes and gender
d) 40-49 for qualifying board classes and gender
e) 50+ for qualifying board classes and gender

A portion of each paid entry fee goes to the organization that you select when you register. Participating non-profits include: Best Day Foundation, LUNGevity and Ocean of Hope Campaign of the Sarcoma Alliance.
