Atlanta Marathon Club will start Spring Training on Monday, January 7th in preparation for two target 1/2 marathons: Publix Georgia Half Marathon (3/17/13) and Berry Half Marathon (3/23/13) We also welcome those training for any Spring Half Marathon. Spring Training is a 10 week program designed for the average runner looking to complete his her first 1/2 marathon to the intermediate runner looking for a Personal Record in the 1/2 marathon.
We provide more than just an online training plan and a “good luck to ya.” We’re real people with real plans, right here in Atlanta. We meet Saturdays, January through March at at a different location each week. We have a plan and we’ll work with you every step of the way. We’ll lead the group, suggest many valuable tips and pace the long runs with you. Together, we’ll train hard and finish closer to the front than the back of the pack on race day. Running a spring half marathon is not only a great goal; you can build on it and be ready to train for one of the many fall marathons across the region, country or world. If you are already thinking about running a fall marathon, join us for fall training! And if you’re running the Publix Georgia Half Marathon, you’re in the right place. We’ve run it every year of it’s existence and know every turn. Learn from our experience. Train with our group and we’ll help you get that PR. If you are not yet registered, we also will be able to offer you a discount on the Publix Georgia Half Marathon. All Spring Training registrants will be offered a discount on shoes and gear throughout the season.
