About This Activity

The Brownwood Bike Rally is a fun annual event celebrating cycling, fitness and health for kids and adults. It includes road bike races and a bike safety rodeo for kids, Crit-Cross races for adults, a health fair, a food court and a festival area featuring a moon walk, crafts, and other family-friendly activities. Racers vie for cash, bikes and other great prizes, and an on-site raffle offers more chances for all to win more great stuff. All proceeds benefit the East Atlanta Kids Club, a nonprofit after-school tutoring and mentoring program for promising youth.

"Crit-Cross" Course Info

The race is a blend of Road Crit, CycloCross and Short Track MTB. (Half of the course is on road, the other half is a combo of a dirt south loop in Brownwood Park and a NEW grassy north loop by the rec center start/finish). Racers will head south on Brownwood Ave, left on Pendleton and right over the curb into the South Loop in Brownwood Park to return onto the crit course then bomb down the grassy North Loop where the finish line will be. No dismounts. Lots of fun to race and watch!!

Parking is available in the lots behind Graveyard Tavern (1245 Glenwood Avenue) and also next to Martha Brown UMC (1206 Metropolitan Avenue). You may park on neighborhood streets near Brownwood Park, but please do not park on the race course, which includes the streets on the north end of Brownwood Park (Brownwood Avenue, Portland Avenue, Gresham Avenue, Pendleton Avenue).

Registration: On Site Registration is available up to 15 minutes prior to race start time. RAIN OR SHINE. We will delay in cases of thunder/lightning or heavy rain. Helmets required.
