Brief Description

The Earth Water Air & Soil Foundation invites you to join us in celebrating Earth Day on Saturday April 19, 2008 in Discovery Park. The California Earth Day Run & Walk will be a great event for runners, walkers and kids. Help us raise money for environmental education, conservation, and restoration efforts in the Greater Sacramento area. Consider staying to help with the river clean-up. Please register by April 12th, as event fees go up $5.00 after the April 12th.

Schedule of Events 7:30-9:00 a.m. Registration/Packet pick-up 8:30 a.m. Start, Kids Fun Run 9:15 a.m. Start, 5k/10k run 9:30 a.m. Start, 5k/10k walk 10:45 a.m. Kids award ceremony 11:00 a.m. 5k/10k awards ceremony 12:00-3:00 River clean-up for Earth Day Awards 5/10k awards will be presented to the overall male and female winner and top three in each age category. Age Group Divisions: 13-15,16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. T-Shirt & Goody Bags T-shirt and goody bags will be provided to all 5k/10k participants with shirts and earth-oriented products. Kids will receive only T-shirts. (Guaranteed if registered by April 4th, 2008)
