Brief Description

3rd Annual Overfalls Lightship Aquathlon located in beautiful Lewes Beach, DE. Enjoy a warm and calm swim in the DE bay with a scenic run through Lewes. Competition site and transition area will be set up on Lewes Beach, parking area number 2.

Course

Aquathlon: 1/2 Mile Delaware Bay Swim/ 5 K Run (3.1 M). There will also be a 5 K Walk that begins at the start of the race and follows the same course as the run.

USA Triathlon Sanction

This event is a USA Triathlon Sanctioned event. All participants must be USAT Members or purchase a one day license for $10.00. You may include this $10.00 fee with your registration, then sign the USAT Waiver at packet pickup. For more information on how to become a USAT Annual member, visit www.usatriathlon.org.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top male & female finisher, top 3 finishers of each age group, both male and female, and top 3 teams ("Male", "Female" & "Coed").

Packet Pickup:

There will be packet pickup on Friday evening - July 20, 2007 from 6-8pm at the Overfalls Lightship in Lewes, DE. All competitors will be able to tour the Overfalls Lightship Museum after picking up their packets. The Overfalls Lightship is located at the Canal Bridge in Lewes, DE.

Additional Information

A portion of the proceeds go to the Overfalls Maritmie Museum Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to maintaining and improving one of the last existing Lightships in the United States.
