Brief Description
This run a scholarship fundraiser in memory of the Ombudsman at Colorado State University, Gil Guiterrez, who was killed by a drunk driver while running in Aug. 1993. The run started the next May; this is the 15th year. To date, 45 scholarships of approximately 500 each have been awarded to Colorado State University students.

Start/Finish
Start/Finish is in front of the Music Building on the Oval on the Colorado State University campus. Parking is available at the Engineering Building parking lot (enter at Laurel and Meldrum).
Additional Information
The morning of the race is usually cool with temperatures averaging 50-55. The course is flat and circles around campus. After the event is over, plan to spend time at the Cinco de Mayo festivities which will be held all day downtown in Old Town Fort Collins.
