5K COURSE IS CERTIFIED
Due to high demand, online race registration has been extended to Friday June 13th at 4PM. After that time, you may register at the Children's Safety Village on Friday, June 13th from 4pm - 7pm for the same fees as online registration, or on the day of the race for an additional $5.00 per registration. You may also pick up your race participant packet (swag bag) on Friday, June 13th from 4-7PM at the Children's Safety Village.
About the Safety Village Dash-N-Bash:
Participants choose to compete in the 5K Walk/Run OR the 42 mile Bike Tour OR the 27.6 mile Bike Tour OR the 1 K walk around the Safety Village.
- Each Participant receives a swag bag filled with goodies.
- Each participant receives a free hot dog lunch (to include a hot dog, chips and a beverage).
Free event cotton t-shirts available to the first 50 registrants.
Prizes/Awards will be given in each category after the races are complete.
The 5K and bike tour will be disposable chip timed.
There is no age limit to participate, however, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
There will be NO entry fee refunds or transfers
- The Children’s Safety Village will host kid’s games, activities, face painting, adult games, music, and lunch after the races are complete.
About the Children’s Safety Village:
The Chautauqua Children’s Safety Education Village’s purpose is to educate children, primarily in the areas of Traffic, Bike and Fire Safety. Our goal is to decrease the number of unnecessary injuries and unfortunate fatalities in our community by allowing children to experience hands-on lessons that they will remember. The funds raised through the Dash-N-Bash will support these important programs. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children in our community.
42 Mile Bike Tour: This course takes you around scenic Chautauqua Lake via Routes 394 and 430. You will travel through the Town of North Harmony, Chautauqua, Mayville, Dewitville, Town of Ellery, Bemus Point, Jamestown, Celoron and Lakewood. This ride is done at your own pace, though you will have the ability to track your time.
27.6 Mile Bike Tour: This course takes you around part of scenic Chautauqua Lake via Routes 394 and 430. You will travel through the Town of North Harmony, Chautauqua, Mayville, Dewitville, Town of Ellery & Bemus Point. You will then board the Stow ferry and be taken back to Stow where you will return to the Safety Village on Route 394.
5K Walk/Run: This course takes you down North Maple Ave. and into the heart of Ashville and back.
1K Fun Walk: This walk is just for fun and within the Safety Village streets. The walk will be on the paved roads around the village and its surface is mostly flat. The fun is for people of all ages and abilities and is also handicap accessible.
Miles of Smiles Timing Services is providing the timing services and will be disposable chip timed.
Parking will be available on the BOCES campus. Volunteers will be on hand to direct you on where to park upon arrival. Carpooling is suggested.
Race results will be posted on www.childrenssafetyvillage.com, and in the Jamestown Post Journal.
Awards and family friendly after party will be located at the Children’s Safety Village after the races are complete. Kid’s games, activities, dunk tank, face painting, corn hole, and music. There will be a free hot dog, chips and beverage to race participants.
5K Run: Awards/prizes to 1st place Male & Female, in 5 year age groups starting at 12 & under going all the way to 80 & over!
5K Walk: Awards/prizes to Overall Men, Women, Boys, and Girls: 1st, 2nd & 3rd places
Bike Tour: Prizes will be drawn for those participating in the bike tour.
1K Fun Walk: Everyone who participates will receive a medal and will be entered into a drawing for 3 different prizes
We are offering an optional fundraising page for any race participant that would like to raise additional funds for our cause. Any registrant that raises an additional $100.00 in receives a free Lycra active performance t-shirt with quick dry technology.

Registration/bag pick up will be open at the Safety Village on June 13th from 4-7PM and beginning at 7:30AM on race day.
Racers go off in waves according to their chosen activity
- Wave 1 is for the cyclists riding in either the 27.6 mile or 42 mile bike tour and begins at 8:30AM.
- Wave 2 is for the 5K Walk/Run participants and begins at 9:00AM.
- Wave 3 is for the 1K Walk participants and begins at 11:00AM.
