This festival is designed to teach youth athletes how to play sports for fun while also teaching them how to be good teammates and leaders on the field. Youths from ages 6 to 14 are split into different teams of five and will play 4 vs. 4 games, making their own substitutions and rules decisions. After each game, the group will come together to discuss the 4 R's of leadership (Responsibility, Rules, Respect and Relationships). Players will be put on a new team after every game which presents new opportunity to develop and work on leadership skills. Points will be tracked based on wins/losses/ties and amount of goals scored. At the end of the festival the top 5 individuals with the most points will receive a prize. Parents are permitted to cheer on their children, but there will be no coaches, and no referees as it is our goal for the players to learn how to govern themselves as part of this leadership training. Every field will be supervised by someone from our staff.
