Sports: Triathlon, running, tennis, Pilates and yoga

Profession: Claims investigator, personal trainer

How I got started in sports: I have always loved sports. I ran track in high school, and the other sports just followed from there.

Favorite spot to be active: Running: Santa Monica and Venice. Cycling: Pasadena.

Life/sport philosophy: Make every day special by working hard, exercising and, most of all, having fun.

Athletic highlights: Finished three marathons in 2005. Ran more than 25 5ks and10ks since 2004. Placed 3rd overall in the Magic Mountain 5k race in Valencia, Calif.

Athletic goals: Complete Ironman Hawaii. Try out for the Olympic masters marathon team. Win a 5k.

Favorite fuel: While racing, Amino Vital. After a race, I treat myself to Starbucks.

Favorite indulgence: Milk chocolate anything.

When I'm not running, cycling or swimming, I'm: Helping others reach their health and fitness goals. I also love to read, especially biographies.

Other interesting facts: Working on a bachelor's in criminal justice. As a personal trainer I want to reach out to youth, who just don't have enough physical education activities in school.
