About This Activity

The Metro DC Galloway Spring & Summer program is designed to help participants train to complete a Fall full or half marathon or 10 mile race. The program is approximately 28 weeks.

2014 Spring Half & Full Marathon Training Program

The first run for the 2014 Spring run/walk/run and Fitness Walker training programs will begin at 7:30 am on Saturday, April 5, 2014. The meeting location will be confirmed in late-march. Feel free to contact us via email at

Program Details - FITNESS WALKERS

Participants in the Fitness Walker Program will:• Learn proper walking form and technique• Gain encouragement and support• Train for a walker-friendly Half Marathon

Marathon/Half Marathon - New - $159

Marathon/Half Marathon - Alumni $99

Getting Started 5K Training - $89 fee extra

Program Details - Ten Mile, Half and Full Marathon

The Galloway Training Program is designed to help people of all skill levels complete a 10 mile race or a half or full marathon. We advocate a run/walk /run approach that minimizes the risk of injury. The program offers the following:

Experienced Pace Group Leaders; Aid Stations for long runs; Training Schedule; Weekly communication; Guest Speakers and more!

Refund Policy

The training fee is non-refundable. Requests for refunds are considered for medical reasons only and must be accompanied by a physician's letter. They must be submitted prior to the half-way point in the training season. A $25 processing fee will be retained.

The Spring & Summer program meets every Saturday on the Mount Vernon Trail and other locations in the metro DC area. Our target races are Fall 2013 full and half marathons and 10 mile races.
