Hogwarts Running Club is proud to present our first event of 2016: The Molly Weasley Ugly Jumper Run! Our third year begins with the warmth and love of the wizarding world's most embarrassing apparel. Your participation will also bring warmth and love to others as the proceeds from this race will go to support One Warm Coat and their mission to provide anyone in need with a warm coat, free of charge. Your support will help their efforts organizing more than 3,000 coat drives each year. To learn more about One Warm Coat, please visit their website at www.onewarmcoat.org
Participants will receive an awesome two-sided custom medal on a beautiful custom sublimated neck ribbon with velcro attachments so you can display it perfectly with your other medals. Finally, all participants will be able to download a custom digital bib with the name and number of their choice.
Bibs will be available for download from our website (www.HogwartsRunningClub.org) a few days after you complete your registration. Please NOTE: If you are registering in the first week of the event, please allow a full week for your bib to be available online as the volume of bibs to be created at the beginning of the event creates a significant backlog. We appreciate your patience.
Sign up today and help us give warmth and comfort to those who need it the most...just like Molly did for Harry.
Event details and schedule
You can run your virtual race at any location at any time at any pace...it's completely up to you! You can walk, run outside, use a treadmill in the gym, find a trail, use a local track, or participate in another "real-world" race and count it for your virtual race as well! If the distance is a bit more than you can handle, you can break up the distance into smaller pieces to make it more manageable!
While you can complete the distance any time you want, we are encouraging as many people as possible to complete their 5k on Saturday, February 6th...which is Arthur Weasley's birthday! And while you’re at it, how about rocking that ugly sweater/jumper you got over the holidays…an excuse to wear it again! As always, this is just a fun suggestion...you can complete your distance any time you'd like!
When you complete your distance, we hope you'll snap a selfie with Instagram and tag it with #HogwartsRunningClub...that way it will show up in the Instagram feed on our website! You can also tweet us at @HogwartsRunners or post your pic to the Facebook Event page, your HRC Common Room, and your personal Facebook Page so you get the congrats you deserve!
Remember: you NEVER need to post your time, log miles, or otherwise provide "proof" of completion as we operate on the honor system. If you register, you will receive your medal...it's up to you to complete the distance.
