The DC Running Club is committed to helping others through the sport of running. We are bringing you an exciting and fun addition to your fitness and racing experience. The VIRTUAL RUN FOR BOSTON MARATHON VICTIMS *Run your race when and where you like!
100% OF THE PROCEEDS TO BE GIVEN TO HELP VICTIMS OF THE BOSTON MARATHON.

Go to the donation page just below and sign up to help us reach our goal of $25,000 by Memorial Day 5/27/13. 100% of the proceeds go to the victims of the Boston Marathon.
*Virtually run with runners all over the nation! *Get ALL the SWAG and NONE of the fees to park, travel, book hotels, hire a dogsitter, etc.! *Never completed a 5K or a 5 MILER or 10 MILER before?? What a perfect way to try it out and build your confidence!! How it Works! Virtual 5K, 5 MILER or 10 MILER Step 1. Register online for the Virtual 5K, 5 MILER or 10 MILER Step 2. Map your own 3.1 mile, 5 MILE or 10 MILE course. -Suggested routes can be found on sites such as runkeeper.com, mapmyrun.com, walkjogrun.net -Your local running stores will often have routes mapped up for runners/walkers Step 3. Run Your Race! You can complete your 5K, 5 MILER or 10 MILER on a treadmill, in a park, in the city, in the morning, in the evening...basically anywhere and anytime you choose during the race period. Once your race starts, your clock runs until you complete your goal of 3.1 miles, 5 miles or 10 MILES! -Check the DC Running Club's facebook page or Twitter page @dcrunningclub for opportunities to complete your virtual run with a group in your area. Step 4. Record your mileage and report your results via email to email@example.com Step 5. Check the our website throughout the race period as we will be tallying all the miles and money you raised for the victims of the Boston Marathon. Check the final results by 6pm on the final day of the race period! Step 6. Congrats you did it!! Those that signed up to get a finishers t-shirt....you will receive your t-shirt upon completion of race period 5/27/13! RUNNING ON A TREADMILL??? Complete your 5K, 5 MILER or 10 MILER on a treadmill in your personal gym, public gym, or anywhere you have access to a treadmill.
