As the Tennis Director of The Alaska Club, she organized and directed tennis tournaments, lessons, and programs. She also was heavily involved in community tennis and the ATA and started several programs for low-income youth. Junior tennis was her true passion as she introduced hundreds of Anchorage kids to the sport.
\nCathy was also a tremendous player in her own right. She won 20 state mixed doubles titles with her partner and husband Gregg. In 1984, Tracy -- then known as Cathy Sharp -- advanced to the women's over-35 doubles finals at the U.S. Open with partner Margaret Russo. They lost to Billie Jean King and Rosie Casals.
\nCathy passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010. The Alaska tennis community lost a great advocate, player and friend. To honor Cathy’s legacy, the ATA renamed this tournament the “Cathy Tra
