This seminar/camp is specifically created for students new to Mill Springs Academy. Daily life of a Mill Springs student is much more than going to class. We will discuss a typical day in each school covering the levels system, the point sheet, and giving/receiving peer feedback. Participants will begin to understand the importance of being the 3Cs. They will socialize with other new students forming friendships and easing the first day of school anxiety. Campers will carry a point sheet with them which will help encourage them to be a positive community member. Toward the end of the week, campers will participate in a mock community meeting. Through these processes they will get a good idea of what life will be like in all aspects of their first semester. This camp will be a great time for campers to ask any questions as we will be having lots of informal discussions about the daily goings on of Mill Springs. The transition camp will also address the activities around campus such as sports, spirit days, after school programs and much more! The week culminates with an outing to the bowling alley with returning MSA students.
