About This Activity

2013 START DATE

Training for the 2013 season began Saturday, April 6 and will go until October, 2013.

Location

Every Saturday at 7 AM in front of Cafe Firefly (southeast corner of Route 31 and Washington Streets) in Algonquin. From there we will access the Fox River Trail. Public parking is available across the street in the lot on the corner of Washington and Harrison.

Brief Description

Jeff Galloway's training program (run/walk/run) incorporates frequent walk breaks allowing runners to reduce the risk of injury. You can read more about Galloway training at JeffGalloway.com It is not the goal of this training program to "work up" to being able to run the entire distance.

Is this group right for me?

If you want to train with a group of encouraging, energetic people that will help you reach your goal, with a pace group that runs YOUR pace, whatever it that pace is, then come check us out! Come learn more about the Jeff Galloway training approach and see why running with a pace group that is right for you can make training so much fun! We welcome all levels and all ages!

Fees:

April 6, through October:New Participants: $159, regardless of the distance of your goal race.Alumni Participants: $99, regardless of the distance of your goal race.16 Week Training Program: New Participants: $95. Alumni Participants: $75 Fitness Walkers: $75.

About Jeff Galloway's Training ProgramsThe Galloway Training Program is open to anyone who is interested in fulfilling a lifetime goal: to run a marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5k, 10 miler or just get started. The training group welcomes all levels, from beginners to Boston qualifiers. Pace groups are set up to ensure a comfortable and safe training pace for every ability. If you're not certain about whether to join, come with us for a free test run.
