Students will participate in a play by memorizing lines, analyzing characters, and rehearsing scenes. The play will be perform at the end of the session for family and friends. This camp gives students a chance to experience being in a theatrical production, focusing on individual and group creativity while teaching students to work collaboratively as a team. Students will play theatrically based games and work hard on learning and rehearsing for a show. This camp also allows students to experience the rehearsal process and is a great way to prepare them to be a part of a full length play or musical in school or at a community theater. Instructor Bio: Michael Page has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. He is happy to have been given the position of Summer Camp Director this year and hopes to make a positive educational experience for all summer camp students.
