This class is an extension of Mike Baker's fall and spring 2013-14 Beginning Acting class. This class will rehearse and perform scenes from Angela Nicholas’ book 99 Film Scenes for Actors. The eight-week course will feature basic acting instruction, scene study techniques, and film auditioning tips for the aspiring film and theatre actor. Each student will participate in at least four short film scenes during the course of the summer semester. The class will also feature an optional trip to Actor’s Connection in New York to read for a N.Y. casting director. Mike also lives in New York, so he will brief students on how to pursue film and theatre work in the City. INSTRUCTOR BIOS: MICHAEL BAKER JR.
