About This Activity

The Russell Forest Run 10K carries runners on a certified course over sand, clay, and gravel roads that were designed for bicycles and electric cars. The scenic route starts at Russell Crossroads, takes runners near Kob?s Knob, up to Heaven Hill, and back to the finish line at Russell Crossroads

Registration

Registration: Registration through Active.com will end on February 20, 2014 at midnight. Participants in the 10K will receive a Performance Shirt and those in the 5K will receive a cotton Tshirt. Quantities are limited and will be based on your registration date. Register early!

Post Race Party - Awards

Post Race Event: Following the Russell Forest Run there will be a post-race party complete with our Famous Grits Bar, ice cold beer, the awards ceremony, music, giveaways and more. The trophies, in keeping with our forest theme, are made from wood taken from the Russell Forest and are very unique to our event.

Directions

Directions to Russell Crossroads: PLEASE do not refer to your GPS, use these driving instructions. From Birmingham or Auburn, take U.S. Hwy 280 to Alexander City and turn south on State Hwy 63. Russell Crossroads is only 11 miles south of Hwy 280. If approaching from the south, take Hwy 231 to Hwy 14 in Wetumpka, then North on Hwy 170, Hwy 170 ends in Eclectic. Take Hwy 63 North. Russell Crossroads is 2.8 miles north of Kowaliga bridge on Hwy 63.
