About This Activity

T-Shirts will be guaranteed if registered by 9/12/2013. After that, they will be issued on a 1st come 1st serve basis to the first 150 participants.

Who is Cougar Track Club? We offer Track & Field from March to July for youth athletes (turning in the current year) 7 to 18 and Fall Cross Country (XC) from September to November for athletes (turning in the current year) 7 to 18. Cougar Track Club’s mission is to promote the sport of amateur track and field and cross country while developing strong positive character traits and encourage a lifelong love of running and a healthy lifestyle in young athletes in the community of Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. All money raised will support Cougar Track Club youth to get to the USATF Junior Olympic National Cross Country Championships. Cougar Track Club in 2011 and 2012 posted the top performances as a club in USATF Junior Olympic History winning an unprecedented 7 National Titles in 2012 alone and 6 top 2 National team finishes in 2011.

The Course is on dirt and trails through the Bosque. The course is flat and fast.

Awards will be given to the top 3 males and females in each age group in the 5K and 10K runs. The top 5 male and female runners in the 1 mile will also recieve an award.

Lots of cool and fun prize drawings will be given out at the conclusion of the awards presentation based on your bib # so stick around and get your prizes!!

Event schedule and times

Events:

10k- 8am start

5k- will follow the 10K

1 mile run/walk will follow at the conclusion of the 10K and 5Ks.

Awards will be immediately following the conclusion of each event.
