What's a Schedule C, and do I need one? Some Actor Myths about deductions. Am I a Qualified Performing Artist? (and do I want to be???) Background Actors—Some “Extra” Thoughts on the subject A discussion of business deductions for actors. Records and Receipts. David K. Rogers, President of ActorsTaxPrep, Inc. in Los Angeles—one of the largest tax prep firms specializing in the entertainment industry. Rogers is a recognized expert in entertainment taxation issues. He lectures throughout the U. S. on such issues, and is the author of numerous articles along the same subject line. Rogers has headed up ActorsTaxPrep since its foundation in 2000. Outside of tax season, he still does the occasional acting/voiceover job.
